These are used in the construction of modern houses, with steel or timber trusses which run the length of the loft, and release the space for your use. The system was designed by our structural engineer and complies fully with Building Regulations.

If your truss roof (W shaped wood rafters) is sufficiently high enough for conversion then the distance between loft roof and floor is a minimum of 2.1 metres in height. If not, then you may need to consider raising your roof line.
